Suggestions to make it 5-star: We suggest a deep clean of the fridge and fixing a water leak near the ground floor washroom to improve safety. Also, we hope the management secures and opens the terrace soon—it would be a magical spot to relax under the sky. Overall, a lovely stay that I would recommend to larger groups looking for comfort and character."

The property is a charming boutique hotel with old-world charm. The staff were friendly, and the room was large and comfortable. I had a good night's sleep, and a decent breakfast from a reasonable selection of food. There was a lovely pool, too. The location was great, too--in the middle of the French quarters, and close to, but not too close to the beach, which was pretty noisy during the Christmas Eve celebrations. A great experience, overall.

Situated in Pondicherry, 8 km from Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Le Pondy offers accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. We had a wonderful stay al Le Pondy. The rooms were delightful with a baranda outside with an overhead fan. The staff was attentive to our needs and wants. The message at the Ayurveda center was excellent. Walking on the beach to see the fishermen and especially the sunrise was memorable. We highly recommend Le Pondy.
