This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in - I would highly recommend Aquatio. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to pretty much anything in Matera and 2-3 minutes walk to the fabulous restaurant Francesca (we dined there twice it was so fantastic). We also used the spa to get a couples massage and my partner used the water therapies. The front desk staff were fantastic before and during our stay - they really helped us to arrange parking, the shuttle to and from the hotel to our parking spot and other requests we had like booking restaurants for us. A true concierge experience! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay. We will be back!

Vetera Matera is an absolute gem and one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the incredible care and attention to detail that has gone into restoring this historic property. The way they’ve blended the charm and heritage of the old building with elegant, modern interiors and thoughtful design is simply stunning. Every corner feels special, and it’s the kind of place where you just want to sit, take it all in, and enjoy the magical ambience. The location is perfect for exploring Matera, and the valet service made everything effortless. We left our car at their partner parking and were picked up directly, which made the whole arrival experience smooth and stress-free. Even though the hotel is relatively new, it feels like it has been welcoming guests for many years. That is a true credit to the management and the entire team, who were warm, professional, and made us feel so well looked after. The food was outstanding, the cocktails were delicious, and the whole atmosphere was romantic and unforgettable. Relais & Châteaux should be very proud to have Vetera Matera in their collection. We are already looking forward to coming back and cannot recommend it highly enough.

MOYSEION Matera - Immersion in a distant past está muy bien situado en el barrio de Sassi di Matera, Matera, a 7 min a pie de Palombaro Lungo, a 500 metros de Matera Cathedral y a 9 min a pie de MUSMA... Staying at MOYΣEION felt like stepping back into the world of Magna Graecia. The welcome ritual performed by Davide made the whole experience really special and set the tone for our stay. The service was outstanding, the staff incredibly helpful, and the cave pool was just breathtaking—my friend Pete especially loved the statues surrounding it. The togas, rituals, and attention to detail made the whole visit immersive and memorable. I also recommend booking an Ape Car tour through the front desk when you arrive—it’s the perfect way to explore Matera. Plus, if you call ahead, they’ll even arrange a pickup from the bus station, which is really convenient.

Dimora Del Corso se encuentra en Rotonda y dispone de salón de uso común, terraza, bar y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Me gustó todo. Tiene las comodidades de los mejores hoteles pero a la vez es como estar en la propia casa. Entras y te reciben como si fueras de la familia. Los desayunos son abundantes. Las habitaciones son luminosas. Se destaca la limpieza. El personal siempre está disponible para hacer de la estadía una experiencia inolvidable. Lo recomiendo

Moma Hotel Wellness & Spa se encuentra en Lavello, a 20 km de Castle of Melfi, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y bar. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The AC was cold and the WiFi fast. We were able to park our car in a lot in front of the hotel or in the underground garage. Best of all, the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend!
