Cosenza/Rende is a complex place (I have been staying in and around the city for many years) and Grecale is beautifully situated high above, near the university, about 6km from the Cosenza Nord-Rende motorway junction. The views are wonderful. The lodging is extraordinary : extremely modern, super clean, and with excitingly different lighting , a beautiful bathroom, and ample, safe parking. Very friendly and charming owner who had to struggle with my basic Italian for us to understand e o! Good tea and coffee facilities are part of the startlingly unusual room furnishings. My room had a fireplace, but it was 32°C so I didn't try it out!

Very beautiful and comfortable apartment with great location (close to shops and great viepoints in Tropea). Really comfortable bed, high speed internet, kitchenette with spices and all the kitchen equipment that you need. Landlady Santina and her husband are the best hosts ever. Don't think twice – just take it.

Make sure you check which room you book, because only one has a sauna. The check-in was flexible and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was brought to the room.

Le Corti - Dimora storica se encuentra a 43 km de Locri Epizephyrii Archaeological Museum y ofrece alojamiento consalón de uso común, terraza y servicio de habitaciones. This was our FAVORITE place of all the places we stayed in Italy! We booked the room at the top with the open terrace. We were 3 people and the room as adequate, albeit small. But we didn't stay that much in the room, so it wasn't a big deal. The bed was super comfy, and the extra bed (shown in the hallway to the bathroom) was already made up! All the towels were monogrammed with the hotel name and very classy! The terrace access off the room was nice, but others can access the terrace from another door outside of the room. The view was awesome! A beautiful church across the street sang out her bells and it was magnificent! The parking was secure for our rental car and no extra charge. The morning breakfast was a real treat and fully stocked with everything you would want. They catered to my wife's vegan needs, too! The place was spotless and super clean. And the walkabouts were very nice! The nearby plaza was beaming with locals, and we felt like we were a part of the neighborhood. No real tourists in sight! We didn't eat at the hotel pizzeria, so we don't have an opinion. The evenings were cool (mid-June), and we were able to leave the windows open and open the louvers on the shutters. Everything locked up nicely (all doors and windows were brand new and high quality) so we felt safe. The refrigerator is small, but enough to keep water, beer and some food cold. The shower hot water was plenty and great showerhead! We would DEFINITELY stay again on our next Italian vacation. We booked this place so I could visit my ancestral town of Cittanova, just 15 minutes away. We then headed to Tropea for another five days (just a 70-minute drive, us a GPS!).
