Set at the foot of Mount Emilius in Pollein, family-run Hotel Diana offers a garden, free WiFi and a spa available on demand at extra cost. Everything. Views from the windows are stunning. We arrived late in the evening, bars and shops were closed, receptionist gave us glasses and ice, so we could sit in the garden with our own food and drinks, very nice! If I remember correctly, they serve breakfast from 6:30, very good, If you plan an early hike. Price was also very reasonable. We wanted to book same hotel for the next night, but it was fully booked.

Breakfast is served in a designated area with panoramic windows. Food is prepared and served by family members, who are very polite, welcoming and friendly. Our room was super - we had a large balcony and enjoyed sitting out in the evenings. Wine was available and if you take advantage of optional dinners, you could take your unfinished bottle of wine to your room and finish your evenings out on your balcony. Mamas pasta was to die for! Salads delicious! Lovely gardens to sit in. Lovely suite with sitting room, bedroom and modern bath. Breakfast was great as well.

We loved the decor and atmosphere of the hotel. The location was perfect for our winter vacation plans. There were winter sports possibilities nearby, as well as amazing nature reserves not too far away. Our rooms were large and accommodating in all aspects. the service was good. At one point I had a slightly unorthodox request for a bit of olive oil for a salad I was having in my room. I was a little embarressed to request it, but the receptionist accommodated my gladly! The breakfast buffet was absolutely the best breakfast I have had at a hotel. There was a huge selection of almost anything you would want for breakfast and then some, including a good selection of gluten free options. But it was not just quantity. The quality of the cheeses and the other products was very high as well. An additional huge bonus at the hotel is their spa area, which is free of charge for the hotel guests (not the case in many other hotels...) Both the indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis are situated in such a way as to overlook the beautiful majestic mountain range. Just gorgeouse and very well maintained, and again, with a very lovely decor. I absolutely recommend Hotel Milleluci with no reserves! We will definitely be coming back
