Lovely place about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

Everything was brilliant. Only please expect to pay an Onsen fee regardless of use. The stadff were exceptional esp Hashan ,Ami, Chamut, and Navid.

Ryokan Fukinoya is an exceptionally wonderful place to stay. The staff members were very gracious, the meals were amazing, and the accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. We loved our private onsen. We can't rave enough about Ryokan Fukinoya, definitely a highlight of our trip!

Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Top notch. Half board meals incredible. In room hot spring bath was wonderful. Excellent service

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath. This was the most amazing venue, best accommodation on our Japan trip and possibly on all our travels. The room, the hot spring bath, the food the staff were all outstanding. The evening meal was something I will never forget.

Boasting luxurious guest rooms with open-air hot spring bath overlooking the ocean, AMANE resort SEIKAI is a 7-minute walk from JR Beppu Daigaku Station. Staffs were very helpful, professional and curteous. We really like our room its very clean, modern ryokan, our private hot spring baths just amazing and the view is stunning. Facilities were great, if we do not have planned itinerary we would prefer just to stay and have onsen all day! The foods were great both breakfast and dinner.
