Wonderful accommodation, with beautiful view from our balcony of Lake Biwa. Room is very spacious for Japanese standards. Staff was super helpful and helped me retrieve my dropped sock from the roof gutter. Loved the set dinner and breakfast spread was pretty good. Definitely enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

El Biwako Hanakaido ofrece baños de aguas termales al aire libre y cubiertos, 3 sitios para comer y habitaciones con balcón y vistas al lago Biwako. Nos ha parecido muy buena la experiencia en este Ryokan, eramos 5 personas y la habitación era suficiente, tenía 2 camas y sobre el tatami pusieron 3 futones. Está a 30 minutos en tren de Kyoto, y llamas por teléfono y te vienen a recoger a la estación de Ogotoonsen. Desde las habitaciones se ve el lago. Tienen onsen privados y servicio de masajes, el público es gratuito para los huéspedes. Teníamos incluido una degustación de cena y desayuno japoneses, fue toda una experiencia que la aconsejamos. El personal muy amable y hacen una recepción personalizada para explicar como funciona todo y que horarios se escojen. Para volver, te vuelven a llevar a la estación.

Hikone Castle Resort & Spa está en Hikone, a 5 min a pie de Castillo Hikone y a 6,2 km de Estación de Maibara. Service: all staff were gracious, kind, friendly. Free drinks were offered on beautiful space with terrace overlooking the lit-up grounds of Hikone Castle. We were also picked up from the station by the hotel shuttle bus Location: perfect, overlooking the moats of Hikone Castle, and nearby all restaurants, Castle Street, and the castle and gardens. Quiet and beautiful in November. A ten minute walk back to the station, which links directly with Kyoto (45 mins away on train) Breakfast: great variety of Japanese and western-style dishes, continually replenished, and absolutely delicious. First class cooking and presentation. We loved it. Rooms: mostly single rooms. Six of us stayed in a single room each. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Other: super onsen, with views to castle; spacious foyer, lobby, library and waiting areas, again with some superb artwork, objects and views; tremendous value-for-money. On check-out, we stored our luggage and stayed the day in Hikone before picking our bags up again, and we were very grateful for this free service. Summary: an excellent hotel operating to very high standards of hospitality. Perfect location in a lovely and historic town. We only stayed one night, but wished we had stayed more, and we would be delighted to return.

Grand Mercure Lake Biwa Resort & Spa se encuentra en Nagahama, a 14 km de Castillo Hikone y a 9,4 km de Estación de Maibara. Lo que más nos gustó del alojamiento fue el spa las las instalaciones son muy buenas y que estaba limpio y la localización
