The outside shower was wonderful with a cascade of water to wash in.The dinner was fabulous, really authentic Sri Lankan vegetarian food which was beautifully presented. It was my favourite breakfast on my trip so far and I stayed in a couple of 5 star expensive places. Like the dinner it was more of an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast. So far my favourite accomodation out of 6 in Sri Lanka. 100% recommended!

I loved every minute of my stay at Hasthi’s safari cottage! The room was beautiful, the outdoor bathroom is so peaceful and Mum’s cooking was amazing!!!! I felt really well looked after, the staff always checking to make sure I was happy and even a delicious aloe Vera drink on arrival. My host even gave me directions to get to Ella on the bus and came to make sure I found the bus stop ok- this was so lovely! My safari trip was organised for me and they thoughtfully gave me snacks to take with for the early start. I really recommend booking your stay here! Thank you Hasthi, Family and staff!

El complejo safari con vistas al jardín se encuentra a 8 km del parque nacional de Udawalawe y ofrece barbacoa y vistas al jardín. Me gustó todo. Las instalaciones son super nuevas, buenos cierres, camas comodas, equipado con todo, personal súper amable, te ayudan en todo y estan disponibles por whatsapp a todas horas. A solo 15 minutos andando de l'Elephant Transit Home. Tambien me organizaron el safari y Amila, el guide driver, fue muy simpatico y te explicaba todo con detalle(14 años de experiencia). Muy cerca hay el Home relaxing spa donde fui a hacerme un masaje super bien, calidad-precio. Sin duda es el mejor alojamiento donde he estado en Sri Lanka y me hubiera quedado mucho mas tiempo (me quedé 2 noches). La cena y el desayuno muy completos y buenísimos. Y sino tienes otras opciones cerca para comer. Tiene todo lo que hay que tener para sentirte como en casa. Me encantó!

El Mansala Safari Resort ofrece un restaurante y recepción 24 horas en Udawalawe. Hay conexión WiFi gratuita. Todas las habitaciones cuentan con hervidor eléctrico. La habitación limpia y cómoda. El baño bastante amplio y con buen caudal de agua. Buen desayuno y propietarios muy amables y atentos. Recomendable.

Amazing river front nature location near Udawalawe national park. Fantastic unique eco accommodation and repurposed materials, love the sowing machines, when you visit you'll get it. Staff were amazing and a huge thanks to Dinuka, his communication was exceptional when we had difficulty getting from Kandy. Organised a late check in, helped our driver to book his accommodation locally too. Next best part Dinuka is a very informative and passionate guide doing the morning Safari. Himself and his driver were a well oiled machine. Don't try and save money without a guide, book Dinuka and his driver well worth it. The breakfast was great and even organised complimentary snacks before our drive further south.

City Elephant Family Resort, que tiene jardín, terraza y vistas a la ciudad, está en Udawalawe, a 16 km de Parque nacional Udawalawe. Todas las habitaciones tienen balcón. City Elephant is ideally situated for getting to the park, right on the main drag through town. The owners are super friendly. My room was large with a good bed and good AC. The restaurant out by the street looks unassuming, but DO eat there...these guys cook beautifully. I had a rice/curry lunch that was just lovely.

Chill House safari resort se encuentra en Udawalawe, a 12 km de Parque nacional Udawalawe, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. We stayed at Chill House Safari resort and also did the safari with our host, Hashan. Our room and bathroom were clean and equipped with everything we needed. The location was peaceful and surrounded by trees and wildlife while still close by the main road. We decided to have one meal at the accommodation and Hashan went out to find all the specific ingredients to make polos, which we really wanted to try. It was delicious!😋His wife and son were also very nice and always around. Our safari tour with the family went great too! It’s totally worth it. We saw quite a lot of elephants and many other animals in the park. Hashan really knows his way around well and is great at spotting anyone hiding in the bushes or trees. He also answered all of our questions about the different species. Overall, we recommend the whole experience offered at Chill House Safari Resort!❣️
