We three travellers loved the unique and enchanting house and property, and the great hosts... We had access to the kitchen for coffee and tea and were able to prepare fruit and cheese plates for dining outdoors on the terrace. It was perfect - lovely 20 minute walk to the stores/cafe with a small town vibe. We rented bikes to explore the beautiful area. The hosts Alex and his wife were helpful and delightful in every way. Everything was just right.

Every person working at Buenaventura felt like a friend and were so kind and I can’t imagine any complaints about this hotel or staff!!! The hotel was very quiet right after the protests, so can’t imagine how difficult it is to deliver such quality when the workers are still working to move back to the area, but every meal was exceptional and every staff member was fantastic. We loved the choice for restaurants, pools, even great room service. The hotel shuttle took us many places and the amenities in the Buenaventura community were wonderful. The zoo was incredible! We expected only a few animals but it had so much! The onsite deli/coffee bar/ grocery and convenience store were great. The food was very reasonably priced. We traveled with a 6 and a 14 year old and will be back!!

The beach that is just opposite to the place was so relaxed and beautiful! Was a perfect stay. planned to stay for one night and ended up staying for two. If I could I would stay even more! Extremely recommended ☄️

The accommodation offers a buffet or American breakfast. This resort was so GREAT! We had a really good time. They had different restaurant options and drink options. The restaurants served very good food. Everyday someone would come and clean our room and provide fresh towels, restock the refrigerator, etc. I brought one of my own blankets with photos of me and my spouse, and each day they found a new way to fold it with our picture showing, place it on the bed on top of the comforter spread out, etc. I thought that was sweet. They had nightly entertainment, which was AMAZING. The pool areas were always nice and clean. When you walk down to the beach, there is several locals that offer Horseback rides. Most people complain about them, but if you take the time to just talk to them, they have incredible stories. They, just like everyone else, are trying to make a living. We met Julio Jose who owns many of the horses and provides rides. He was super sweet! The horses look skinny, but they are actually well taken care of. They make sure the horses stay near the water on the cooler sand and while they take you on your ride, they are very knowledgeable about the scenery and landmarks. Give them a chance! ScubaCaribe is right on the beach where you can paddle board, kayak, or snorkel for free. They also offer paid activities such as jet skis on the ocean. That was one of the highlights of our trip! Super fun and convenient. We chose the guided tour of Farallon Island on the jet skis.
