Nestled in a beautiful - and not yet spoilt by overtourism - fishing village on the pristine Albanian coast this hotel is a traveller's dream come true. Rooms are tidy and tasty, the view is stunning - you literally wake up to the sound of waves! On top of all that, there is Mrs Liza, English spoken, friendly, helpful and hospitable to the bone. We arrived to Himare on a rather cold winter evening, the last stretch of a journey from Tirana being especially tiring, and everything was closed except for the Anxhelos Hotel. Liza saved our lives by preparing a magnificent plate of cheese, tomatoes, bread and olive oil, all home grown and incredibly tasteful.

I Loved the welcoming arhmosphere of the family. Also the silence, the beautiful garden and the originally decorated house. The recycled elements with a story are a plus and (together with the incredibly beautiful garden) make filoxenia an accommodation that cannot be found anywhere else in Albania

The hotel was new and in excellent condition. Clean, fair size room, comfortable bed, TV, and air-conditioning. Private parking next to the building. Something special/rare for the albanian riviera was the elevator. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Best place we have stayed in Albania so far. Room was huge, staff were amazing, especially the server in the restaurant. Impeccable manners and very helpful. Great location for the beach. Food was good also

The owners of the hotel was very helpful., welcoming and friendly. The owner even let me use her washing machine and did not charge me at all for the soap and fabric conditioner all I did was picked it up dry and folded. Laundry facilities are not included in the hotel they went out of their way to make my stay more comfortable. The rooms are modern and very clean, it has all the appliances and utensils you need for cooking or storing food. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the bed was comfortable. As for the pool the water was very clean and I personally saw them cleaning the pool during the early mornings I was there. The have ample parking. The view is breath taking having coffee in my balcony is the best part of my day.
