Gary was very responsive and very kindly made available an early check in for us. Biscuit the cat was friendly and gave the place an added charm.

Had we not visited the places they suggested, we would have missed out on many beautiful scenery.

The bathroom has its own window. There is a mirror in the room as well, making the morning much easier. The bed is also really comfortable. The breakfast was also lovely.

The family run An Portan Guesthouse is situated in Dún Chaoin on the edge of the Dingle Peninsula.

The rooms at An Portan are all at ground floor level and are arranged in a courtyard style. Each room has its own entrance door, en-suite bathroom,TV and tea and coffee making facilities. We had a wonderful stay at An Portán Guest House. We were met by Geraldine, who was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a delicious Irish breakfast (along with tea, cereal, bread and fruit). We had a lovely view at breakfast and in our room. It was a great location for us doing the Dingle Way (8 minutes away from the path). The Kruger's bar was just a few minutes away (so we could get dinner there). The room was very comfortable and quiet we had the best night sleep here. It was one of our favourite stays in Ireland.
