This was the most amazing little cottage in Ella. It is located 20 min walk or 10 min tuktuk out of town with the most amazing and peaceful view. The owner is an amazing host and can organise tuktuks at reasonable rates, provide hiking directions and all kinds of support on organising activities while you are in Ella. The cottage is also super close to Ella rock if you like hiking. Breakfast was delicious and we also had dinner one night and the food was 10/10!

What a scenic view from the balcony! A little bit outside of Ella, so really quiet. Perfect room, tasty breakfast served on our balcony. Hosts were so genuinely nice and even helped me out with special care after I got food poisoning. They really went beyond to make sure we had a great stay.

Everything about this place is AMAZING. Located in the middle of private tea plantation, offers proper privacy and pure joy. Every detail in this place is a high level, from bathroom, comfort of the bed, amenities, insect repellents, softness of towels, ambient light… Any meal you have is a room service and food is stunning. Host and staff are fantastic. They will lead you through every single detail of the property. Highly recommended!!!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. everyone was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation itself was top-notch—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail, from the bedding to the amenities, reflected a commitment to quality and comfort. It felt more like a home away from home than just a hotel rooms.definitely we will back.

Everything was amazing, the view was unbelievable and the staff were all so lovely. Namal was so helpful and was there for anything we needed during our stay. Would recommend walaa kulu to everyone! Breakfast in particular was outstanding. Thank you again for having us!

Amazing place, thanks to Lal property manager for all the help and for the exceptional service highly recommended, its close to Ella but away from too many tourists. There is a tv with English movies, washing machine and cooking facilities we had a great time and would stay again, thanks Lal!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa! The property was clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The location was peaceful and scenic, making it perfect for unwinding. This place is just perfect! It is hard to describe with words. You live next to the owners - sweetest family in the world. They help you with everything! - You want to hike = The dad will guide you - You want cooking class = The mom is ready to teach - You want to be entertained = The son will show you all his small hobbies and projects! - You hungry = The mom will cook the best and biggest meal for you. They take you in as family. Besides that the room is great, hot water and everything you need. View is amazing and you can swim in the waterfall pool. They help you with planning your day and have many driving contacts.

The location, although slightly further from Ella than others, was excellent. You are located in a beautiful landscape surrounded by the sounds of nature. This is perfect for travellers who have the time to enjoy Ella and want to experience Sri Lankan hospitality at its finest, not just the main streets and bars. The owner and his family were very kind, attentive and just very good people. To find the rooms is a bit difficult so the owner met us and bought us through a very scenic walk, where locals were greeting us along the way. The bed is very comfortable and throughout the night you are comforted by the sounds of nature, we slept very well! Perfect stay for backpackers & Travellers, an excellent experience.

    Gorgeous cabins just outside Ella town for an excellent price. Staff and owner are amazing and so kind - they catered to our every need and took good care of us. The views are stunning, the cabins have every luxury you need (including Netflix!) and we loved the private pool and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was also delicious!
