The villa has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. The host was very polite and responsive. He met us at the house, showed everything and left the keys. The house itself is very big with very nice terrace. It was clean and filled with all you need to stay there even for a few weeks. There are restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Recommend to stay here if you go to view Kutaisi neighborhood.

Old Balcony studio ensuite, is possibly THE BEST stay in Kutaisi, operated by a warm and wonderful Georgian family (the lady of the house is a doctor) and they look after guests like family, yet in a completely unobtrusive manner. The property itself is hundreds of years old, and has been amazingly and artistically renovated to retain it's old world charm with modern amenities. It is one of the best architectural restorations I have seen in Georgia; timeless, classy yet understated. The studio itself is HUGE, and equipped with a compact kitchenette and all the essentials including a mini refrigerator. A twin hotplate is also provided if you need to cook or heat up takeaways, which I found very useful. The room was well-heated and the showers were piping hot. There is also air conditioning for the summers, and the massive old stone walls help cool the room. Since the rooms are both detached with the entrance straight off the cul-de-sac, you can come and go as you please. The location is simply fabulous, in a quiet cul-de-sac leading to a dead end, so there is zero traffic noise; yet it is only a one (1) minute walk to Shota Rustaveli Av. supermarkets and shops. The many bars, restaurants and nightlife on the Galaktion Tabzide street less than a three (3) minute walk, and it is a twelve (12) minute scenic walk to the heart of downtown Cochlis Fountain circle, the Green Market, and Art Galleries. A Bolt will charge you 3-4 GEL on average, to downtown. There are only two (2) ensuite rooms to let at present, so there is not much noise from other guests. The family live behind the property, in a detached house with their two friendly and adorable labradors, and they are very responsive to your needs, in a wonderfully hospitable manner. As for value for money, this was the best studio apartment I ever stayed in, and is definitely my FIRST CHOICE when I return to Kutaisi.

The hosts couldn't have been better and welcomed us into their home with food and drinks! The scenery around is amazing and I'm sure you could sit there and watch the world go by for days, listening to cow bells chime!
