Very lovely place, somewhat outside center of Nuwara, but at the endpoint of the Pekoetrail. We did the last etappe of the trail and came back with a bus. Very nice views and relaxed walk. The owner is very friendly and can give you all the info you want. Breakfast was excellent. It's continental with Strawberry juice, cake or pancakes. They even did some home cooking for us the first evening (Khottu). Again, very tasteful. I recommend this place for its charme. You look out your window and see the plains! The next day, he brought us to the trainstation.

It's a beautiful place to relax. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. Because there's very few rooms you feel as if you have the whole place to yourself. The food was amazing especially with the view from the dining area. Loved using the sauna as well.

Si tuviera que recomendarle a mi mejor amigo o un familiar donde alojarse en esta zona, sin duda recomendaría Oliphant. Lo primero de todo, su personal de servicio es de una calidad profesional inmejorable, nos han prestado un trato acogedor y servicial inigualable. El hotel es una casita colonial británica que integra todos los elementos de esa época de la historia de Ceylan (elementos artísticos, culturales, gastronómicos, diseño arquitectónico del hotel).. elementos como sus cuadros, alfombras, música, decoración de interiores y sus preciosas estufas hacen , junto con el trato de su personal, que te traslades a la época colonial británica. La cómida es buena y bien elaborada. Las habitaciones son grandes y súper acogedoras, estan muy limpias y no tienen insectos (que en Sri Lanka, es lo que más nos preocupaba a nosotros de los hoteles). Es un poco más caro quizás, pero nos mereció la pena sin duda. Ha sido mágico.

Luxe Wilderness - Private Villas, Free Breakfast, 2km from City Centre, que tiene vistas a la montaña, ofrece alojamiento con patio y cafetera, y está a unos 13 km de Hakgala Botanical Garden. -there are 3 houses in colonial english style overlooking Mount Pedro, sunrise and Nuwara Eliya. - very nice interior design with all facilities - very clean; confortable bed - they even put beautiful natural flowers in a vase, and lots of printed info about the area, Budhism, tea plantation. - staff helpful and friendly, they even offered us a gift when we checked out. - breakfast was also good - such a nice garden with flowers and birds - because at night it may be cooler they offer heating device, which was actually great.
