Our days at Amran’s accommodation in Jebel Shams were truly unforgettable. We were welcomed incredibly warmly by Amran, which immediately made us feel at home. The place was even more beautiful than the photos suggest! The location, comfort and tranquility make it the perfect spot for hikers, nature lovers, and anyone looking to fully relax. The accommodation has a wonderful garden with a fantastic swimming pool. It was by far the best pool we had in Oman – the only one that was delightfully warm, so we could enjoy it at any time of the day. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to cook your own meals, and outside there are several terraces where you can eat while enjoying the views. There’s also a small shop just a 2-minute walk away with all essentials for a pleasant stay. For hikers, this place is absolutely ideal. From the accommodation you can start beautiful trails, including the impressive Balcony Walk (W6) and the challenging Summit Trail (W8). We totally recommend this accommodation. A perfect combination of nature, comfort and relaxation – we would return in a heartbeat!

We had an incredible stay at the Sunset House in Jabal Shams. The host (Mr. Mousa) went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. When one of our cars broke down on the way, he personally came to pick us up and took us to the villa in his own car. After taking us to the villa located on top of the mountain, he went back, took the broken car to a mechanic, and had it fixed! Not only that, but he invited us for lunch twice and was constantly checking in to make sure everything was okay. His hospitality truly made our trip memorable. The villa itself was comfortable, well-equipped and super clean beds and rooms, and the stunning views of Jabal Shams added to the experience. Highly recommended!

The summit house is just magical , the location is really nice , very calm , we enjoyed the sunset on the bench with the view of beautiful mountains, just in front of the property. The house is well equipped with everything, if you need something you can just ask the owner who’s super kind , he speaks a bit of English but his cousins helps with all communication efficiently . We ask them to prepare us a dinner and breakfast which was really nice and tasty . There a bbq but also a kitchen if you want to cook . The house is clean and comfortable. We truly recommend this place ! We have leaved in oman for few years and we know several places , this one thick a lot of good boxes !

We really enjoyed our stay: the traditional architecture of the house is stunning, and the rooms and facilities were extremely clean and comfortable. Lack of wifi was not perceived as a minus, but as a plus: it's a great choice to make visitors focus on the surrounding beauties and live a more authentic experience (eg by stargazing and gathering on the private fireplace). The staff has been very friendly and helpful. Finally, the location is very convenient as it's close to many of the most important trails and viewpoints of the area.

The house of Homeed is a great spot where one can unwind and relax in the silence of the beautiful Jebel Shams and enjoy the wonders of the sky from a marvellous sunset to the night sky full of stars. The rooms are comfortable elegant and clean. Homeed and his family are great hosts and under request they offer a delicious barbecue cooked on bonfire. Homeed also offers beautiful guided excursions; the top of Jebel Shams and the view of the canyon, walk along the the Balcony Walk and my personal favorite: the morning crossing down Wadi Ghul on order to arrive to Wadi Nakhr and bathe in the crystal clear waters of Wadi Nakhr Cave also named the Teapot. If you decide to stay at Jebel Shams Hills you won’t regret it you’ll merely enjoy a warm welcome into this beautiful region.
