The breakfasts are to die for all freshly cooked and lots of options and are served with a smile. The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean and are lacking for nothing. The toiletries supplied are excellent quality. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. You are treated like part of the family from beginning to end. Loved it and cannot wait to return.

It has a very good restaurant, where we had both a breakfast and two dinners. The food and service were excellent. The rooms were very comfortable. There were good drying facilities for wet clothes caused by being out walking in wet conditions.

Hosts are friendly and knowledgeable and make a great breakfast. Only a few minutes walk from centre of town. We have stayed in a number of guest houses, inns and hotels in the lakes and Dalkeith is up there amongst the best.
